Monday 3 3 25 morning call

Thank you Mike for the donation.

Hookipa yesterday.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

Lanai

Lanai shows a hint of long period south swell. It comes from the fetch in the maps of Feb 21 through 24 below. Nothing to be too excited about, but better than flat (Surfline calls for 1.4ft 15s at sunset).

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The old NW swell continues to fade while a new one is on the rise. The maps of Feb 27 through Mar 2 below show the fetch that generated it. Home guess for Hookipa is around chest to head high in the morning with possible bigger sets at sunset (Surfline calls for 2ft 16s). Mid day should be biggest with the building windswell adding some energy to the breakers.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
