The westerly energy at Hanalei and Waimea (and Pauwela too, even though it shows it coming from the NW) was generated by the typhoon that ended up hitting Taiwan a few days ago. That energy won't make it to our north shore, but it could be felt on the Kihei and Wailea coasts. Meanwhile, the NE windswell is on the way down as the trades should relax for a couple of days. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon (2 days old prediction). The other ones can be found here.
