Wednesday 12 4 19 morning call

Liquid Barrel posted this shot of Eli Olson at a cloudy Backdoor.

My pick of Jimmie Hepp's album of the windsurfing action at Hookipa.

Si Crowther posted a water shots album too.

4am significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
1.4ft @ 13s from 226° (SW)

Lanai
1.4ft @ 14s from 173° (S)
1.3ft @ 12s from 176° (S)

Small southerly energy at the buoys, the Lahaina webcam shows the related small waves. Check it out yourself if interested.

North shore
N
5.1ft @ 10s from 10° (N)

Waimea
3.9ft @ 9s from 17° (NNE)
3.7ft @ 11s from 12° (NNE)

Pauwela
5.4ft @ 9s from 19° (NNE)
2.3ft @ 13s from 349° (NNW)

5.4ft 9s of leftover NNE energy plus a pinch of 13s NW energy at Pauwela should make for fun size waves at Hookipa (probably head high plus) and on the eastern exposures.

Wind map at noon

Kahului Tides
High Tide     High Tide     Low Tide     Low Tide       Sunrise   Sunset

North Pacific has a remote small NW fetch and a N one with a section directly aiming at us and another bigger one to our east, but we should get angular spreading energy. This swell is predicted by Surfline to peak Friday night at 6ft 14s from 350.

South Pacific has the same two fetches as yesterday.

Morning sky. Looks like we got some clouds coming from the west.
