Do you know why there are two buoys on the north shore -- Maui North Shore, and Pauwela? Are they there so there is a backup in case of failure? Is one preferable to the other when it comes to forecasting? Thanks. Chico

they two buoys are indeed close, in fact they pretty much always read the same thing.
No idea why there are two, but I'm glad that there is a backup one for Maui. Cheers.
