Tuesday 9 1 20 morning call

A very windy day yesterday made my SUP foiling downwind attempt n.29 a pretty good one: I foiled the whole stretch of Baldwin Beach. It's a lot easier to take off when a gust of 30 knots is pushing you.


1984 Aloha Classic winner Alex Aguera recently threw himself in the friendly fire of winged back and forward loops between the Maui's young guns Jeffrey Spencer and Kai Lenny and tried some rotations. Hats off for the courage.

Not enough energy from the fetches I showed the collage of last Saturday, the Lahaina webcam keeps showing minimal wave action.

Yesterday I noticed that the windswell came up a bit, but I still called for small waves at Hookipa, bigger on eastern exposures. They ended up being up to head high instead and that should be the case also today.
