Saturday 11 25 23 morning call

Wonderful shot of a foiler at Jaws yesterday by Randy Sarrow of Bluewavemaui. The rider is Matthieu Etxebarne Aguirregomezkorta (and I thought my name was hard to spell on the phone!) from the Basque Country.

The wingers at Kaa made sure to stay away from the big waves breaking on the reef instead.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The giant NW swell was more giant at the buoys than it was in the water, but, as the photos show, still pretty large. Today it's pretty much half the size, but Hookipa could still be too big to surf. No wind in the early morning, windy in the afternoon.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
