Busy day at Kaa yesterday.
My buddy Dan and I did a Kihei SUP foiling downwinder (I had the Foil Drive of course). Wind was nuking and quite offshore and below is our safe line close to the shore. Kihei is known to be an easier run than the north shore (but not when the wind is like that!) because the bumps are closer to each other and overall steeper, but they also move slower. I used the same foil (Eagle 890) I use on the north shore, and it ended up being too small and as a consequence I had to pump half of the time. Lesson learned.
7am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore
