Hookipa yesterday morning.
Kane wingfoiled in 5 knots with a 5m wing, a 8.10 KT and an Axis 1401. I share his passion of trying absolutely everything.

The new NW swell I discussed yesterday is at the buoys (Hanalei is unfortunately down) The fetch was pretty close and there will be a lot of energy, hence it won't be as clean as the start of distantly generated ones (like the last three we had). Home guess for Hookipa is around double ovehead and no wind in the first part of the morning. The Vans Pipe contest should be on this morning in challenging conditions.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
