Maui has an incredible variety of spots and conditions for all kind of different water sports. Haven't seen photos of Honolua, but it must have been pumping the last couple of days.

New XL NW swell rose during the night and will continue to rise throughout the day. Below are the maps of December 27 though 31 that show the fetch that generated it (waves for days). Home guess for Hookipa is double overhead plus and light southeasterlies in the early morning.
