6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No southerly energy at the buoys (could be overshadowed by the NW wrap), but some waves on the cam (Surfline calls for 1.6ft 16s). Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

Lanai

Lanai shows a sliver of a new long period south swell. Below are the maps of Nov 22 and 23 that show the fetch that generated it. The rise will be very slow (Surfline calls for 1ft 18s at sunset).

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

New XL NW swell is at the outer buoys and is going to be rising all day locally. Below are the maps of Nov 26 though 29 that show the fetch that generated it. Surfline calls for 9ft 17s at 6pm, but looking at the NW buoys readings, it might end being even more than that. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to head and half in the windless morning, building to triple overhead plus at sunset.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
