Thursday 1 9 25 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No southerly energy at the buoys, but plenty waves on the cam (probably leftover Kona windswell). Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

After many days of wonderful Kona conditions, the front that stalled over Kauai and Oahu moved over us too and now the wind flow changed. Still plenty mixed period NW energies at the buoys that will continue linger around for a few more days, although with a declining trend. Home guess for Hookipa is around double overhead plus but without the magic offshores, so not quite as clean.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
