Tuesday 8 19 25 morning call

Kanaha yesterday.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

Lanai
      • 2.2ft
        , 13s, S 185º
      • 0.5ft
        , 17s, SSW 200º

Mostly a couple of feet 13-14s southerly energy at the buoys with Lanai also showing half foot of new 17s energy. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Hanalei

    • 0.4ft
      , 14s, N 355º

Waimea

            • 0.4ft
              , 14s, N 355º

Mokapu
  • 5.3ft
    , 6s, ENE 60º
  • 3.1ft
    , 8s, ENE 70º

Hanalei and Waimea show a tiny 14s N reading from unidentified source, but I don't think it will be noticeable, so it's all about the usual easterly windswell again. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
