Saturday 9 6 25 morning call

Kanaha yesterday. Btw, just got news that all foils are 25% off at Hi-Tech.

Hookipa yesterday.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

Very small southerly energy at the buoys and not much on the cam (yet). But both buoys show the start of a new long period swell that was generated by the fetch in the maps of August 29 through 31 below. Surfline calls for 2ft 17s by the end of the day.

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

Small NW energy continues at the buoys. That tiny 15s reading from 90 at Pauwela could be from the approaching hurricane Kiko, but it's not going to do much yet, until the storm moves more north. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high with occasional bigger sets.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
