Decent 13s southerly energy at the buoys and decent waves on the cam. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

ENE windswell down to 3ft 9s at Pauwela with still no noticeable groundswells to talk about. That tiny 15s from NNE reading at Pauwela comes from the small fetch indicated in the maps of March 6 through 9 below. Surfline calls for 1ft 14s at sunset. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high with occasional bigger sets. Bigger on eastern exposures.
The satellite picture shows that the first storm associated with the large Kona low west of us is upon us and it will bring rain and a kona flow that will increase to strong levels by the weekend.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
