Oh well, it can't always be epic...
Actually Hookipa was pretty damn good and I watched it all day, but unfortunately the sunset session wasn't as good as usual. Too much west in this swell (some buoy readings were from 283... 270 being straight west) and that is not a good thing for the Maui north shore reefs if you want to go right.
Plus there was a 8 feet, 10 sec windswell overlapping that made the set waves have multiple peaks.
As a result, the maximum number of turns I was able to do on each single wave was... one!
Which is a lot better than none, I know.
The frustration continues this am, because blogger doesn't want to upload the photos. I put them on Slide, but it seems that it doesn't offer the embed code anymore, so you'll have to live with the link to the gallery.
The original resolution is 2048x1536 and they are available for purchase.
Oh, there we go, at least I could upload this one of this girl in a window...
Plus, I woke up early because I wanted to go surf, but there's clearly a lot of wind already on it. Oh well....
PS. Jeff has info about un upcoming FAA meeting about kitesurfing zones.
