Sunday 1 16 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers is mostly reading NW wrap these days and can't be used to detect small southerly energy. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101

10.2ft @ 13s from 309° (WNW)
2.5ft @ 10s from 316° (NW)

Hanalei

9.3ft @ 15s from 317° (NW)
6.1ft @ 12s from 319° (NW)

New NW swell shows pretty solid at Hanalei and should be in our waters too. Home guess for Hookipa is double overhead plus and surfable only by the pros. More manageable in the Kahului area and sheltered spots. Lack of wind continues.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
