Saturday 2 1 25 morning call

Hookipa yesterday at sunset was a barrel fest.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

No southerly energy at the buoys, but plenty kona windswell on the cam and still brown water in Kihei. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

With a low spinning so close to the islands, there's no lack of short period NW to N energy at the buoys. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half to double and clean in the morning before the wind switches onshore at one point.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
