Thursday 10 16 25 morning call

The Aloha Classic at Hookipa yesterday, photo by FishBowlDiaries. Today they'll run it too and likely complete the Pro's (in which case, the last day of streaming will be here).

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion
.
South shore

Lanai
          • 2ft
            , 13s, SW 230º
Surprising couple of feet 13s at Lanai, but nothing at Barbers (more exposed to the NW swell). Hard to guess the local size as the Kihei webcam is still down, check the Ala Moana webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

NW001

                  • 5.7ft
                    , 13s, NW 325º

Waimea

                  • 5.3ft
                    , 15s, NW 315º
                  • 3.2ft
                    , 12s, NNW 330º

Pauwela

                  • 1.7ft
                    , 17s, NNW 330º
                  • 3.8ft
                    , 7s, ENE 75º
                  • 2.2ft
                    , 12s, NW 315º
The old NW swell only shows 2.2ft 12s at Pauwela, but the small 17s reading indicates a new pulse that is already at the upstream buoys and should rise locally throughout the day. Home guess for Hookipa is around head high plus in the morning, building to double overhead plus later in the day.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
