Both buoys show a tiny amount of long period southerly energy. It probably comes from the angular spreading of the strong fetch oriented towards south America that happened on Jan 18 below.

Expect very low consistency out of that, but there's sets like the one in the picture below. Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

NW energy down to minimal levels at Pauwela, while the upstream buoys suggest an increase of short period N energy in the afternoon, together with a momentary return of light trades. Home guess for Hookipa is around waist to occasionally chest high and clean with no wind in the morning, getting bigger and windier in the afternoon.
