NW energy down to moderate levels at the local buoys after a whole week of big waves, but only temporarily as a new large swell is going to arrive in the late afternoon (see NW buoy). It comes from the fetch that happened on Jan 16 below. Home guess for Hookipa is around head high plus in the morning, building to double overhead at sunset (Surfline calls for 6ft 16s at 6pm).
