Thursday 1 29 26 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion. South shore

Lanai shows a tiny amount of long period southerly energy and some west wrap. The long period energy comes from the fetch that happened on Jan 23 and 24 below. It'll be a small swell, Surfline barely calls for it.

Check the Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

The NW energy came down from yesterday at the local buoys and will continue to do so throughout the day, but the NW buoy already shows a new swell that will arrive tomorrow. Home guess for Hookipa is around head to slightly overhead high with occasional bigger sets and with no wind most of the day again.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
