That's what the other sailor I was sailing with told me when we got out of the water... and he was right!
It happened yesterday in the late afternoon. Light sideoff and logo high sets inconsistent enough to make it very easy to sail out. Low tide and almost no chop at all. I had a couple of waves that made me scream.
Before my session, I took some picks at Hookipa.
Photo of the day goes to Skyler Haywood, who is sailing very strong. I remember an old photo of Robby Naish that looked just like this one.
Good job Skyler.
Why is Jason Diffin bottom turning on a close out? Because it's not a close out... plenty shoulder in front of him.
Morgan.
Laurent mid 360. Nice body torsion.
Marco Bosi chased by a biggie.
Skyler.
Bernd's mast might be smaller than normal, but that's still a pretty big wave for a 13 year old kid! His sailing is getting better by the day.
Welcome to Hookipa!
Amir.
Porcella's powerful top turn.
Andres.
One little new thing. Anyone can download photos from this blog (they will be in low res). If you use them on websites, please make sure to link the source.
I'm now taking photos in higher resolution than usual (2048x1536), which is a thing that bugs me quite a bit. The original photos are available for sale. Pretty cheap.

Hi gp,
yeah just saw the wild cards for Cabo Verde, it's crazy that Levi is not competing. What's the inside scoop from Maui?
cheers
Marcos
BTW,
I think every windsurfer who likes to read mags have imprinted in their memory the pic of Robby that looks exactly like that one! he was riding a colourful Naish custom , red and yellow, with 3 fins...
Marcos
Fliegman,
nice chicks not always hand out on the rocks at Hookipa... don't you worry, they'll come back.
Marcos,
judging from the Windsurfing Movies II, it would seem that Levi doesn't really care about contests anymore. Next time I'll see him, I'll ask him.
