AZZ!

I guess the bike ride video will have to wait...

JUST received from photographer Benjamin Thouard four water shots of my beautiful self taken on March 30th... stoked!
Here's the first one. Click on it and appreciate the sky and the crispness of the colors.

Second one: I love the way the wave behind me looks... mean!

The third one was shot just after the second one.

This last one is on a different wave and was my least favorite one at first. But looking better at it, I could find some intensity in it...

Great thanks to Ben for achieving the impossible mission of making me look good while wave sailing.

PS. Never mind the title if you're not from Napoli...

what break are you at in the pics?

Hi!

Just a little curioius. How come you use a boom bra? There is no way that the boom head would come close to the board.

Best regards

Patrik Lind

Azz, so many comments! Thanks everyone.

Answers:
- I'm focused, not mad... ;-)
- the break is Hookipa (the last bowl right in front of the rocks)
- I use the boom bra to protect the longboard. If I take it off when I use the shortboard, it's guaranteed that I'll forget it when I use the longboard...
I know, it's pretty much useless, but it doesn't bother me... hey, it could protect my head in case of a weird wipeout! ;-)
And there's also a very subtle reason. I know it looks dorky, and I kind of like doing things even if they look dorky (like always wearing a wetsuit in Maui)... it's a little spiritual self training not to be too conscious about how I look.
Trust me, it's hard to stay like that at Hookipa where the average pro sailor board short's number of times in the water before being replaced by a newer pair is... ten.
- Olaf, great to hear you're using those sails! Post a comment when you'll go through them... ;-)

Wow-if Ben can make you look like a wave sailor then he should be able to make me look good in the water....Ok Ok, I’m guessing miracles are not on his resume. Hey does he have a website?

windsrufing is gay

marseille

cammar said...

Again, if gay is meant as joyful, windsurfing is extremely gay and I'm the gayest of all.

If instead, you meant to use the word gay in a denigratory way, you just did one of the most shallow things I can think about... congratulations!

Gay readers of this blog, I love you all and I'm sorry for this comment. I published it by mistake (and once published, I can't delete it).

Actually, it is possible to delete comments even after I approved them (thanks Sam, it was a browser problem), but I'm going to leave that one there, together with my reply.

Just to state that on this blog, comments from readers of all kinds of sexual preferences, religion, country, skin color, race, etc.. are welcome.
Stupidity is not welcome.
Aloha.
