Sunday 11 18 18 morning call

A day of rest for me yesterday. The annual Surf Bash organized by Hi-Tech was held yesterday at Hookipa. These are some of the amazing participants of the adaptive surfing category. So inspiring.

3am significant buoy readings
North shore
NW101
4.7ft @ 12s from 358° (N)

Hanalei
6.1ft @ 12s from 345° (NNW)

Waimea
6.3ft @ 13s from 348° (NNW)

Pauwela
6.2ft @ 8s from 41° (NE)
5.2ft @ 13s from 345° (NNW)
2.9ft @ 6s from 42° (NE)
2.7ft @ 11s from 338° (NNW)

A bunch of periods and directions at all the buoys (only reported for Pauwela). That and the wind will make the north shore conditions pretty stormy (like yesterday). I'm taking a customer to the Bay, stay tuned for a report from there at one point in the morning.

South shore
Lanai
1.5ft @ 14s from 195° (SSW)

Lanai keeps showing some energy from the SSW that should keep the Lahaina side tiny but not flat.

Wind map at noon.

North Pacific has a medium intensity NNW fetch.

Tiny S fetch in the South Pacific (the Tasman Sea one is blocked by New Zealand).

Morning sky.
