Monday 7 1 19 morning call

Fantastic day of surfing on the south shore. I was so tired after it, I went to sleep at a record 6.47pm. Ready to repeat today. Here's a couple of shots. This guy was ripping.

Maui's Bart De Zwart won the Yukon River Quest for the fourth time in a row. More info on the SUP Racer FB page. On this other page instead, you'll find the results of a Maui to Molokai race held in the weekend. Looks like it was a close battle between winner Zane Schweitzer and runner up Kody Kerbox in the foil division.

2am significant buoy readings
South shore
Barbers
3.4ft @ 18s from 195° (SSW)

Lanai
3.9ft @ 18s from 192° (SSW)

Big numbers at the buoys, you don't see that stuff often. Just like yesterday, most spots will be closing out also today, look for the ones that can handle the size.

North shore
Mokapu
5.4ft @ 8s from 70° (ENE)

Windswell is up, Hookipa had pretty small and weak waves yesterday.

Wind map at noon.

Nothing in the North Pacific.

South Pacific has a fetch oriented towards Central America, which could give us some angularly spread love.

Morning sky.
