Wednesday 1 8 20 morning call

Just got back in Maui, here's the self explanatory Windguru table for the next ten days.

5am significant buoy readings and discussion
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers. The Lahaina webcam doesn't seem to be working, but there shouldn't be much.
North shore
Waimea
2.9ft @ 13s from 321° (NW)

Mokapu
8.1ft @ 11s from 57° (ENE)

Lots of buoys missing from the Surfline buoy pages, what I reported is good enough to have a clear idea of what's in the water: a little bit of 13s NW energy and a lot of easterly windswell. What counts even more is the active wind, which is going to blow pretty hard.

Wind map at noon

Kahului Tides
High Tide     High Tide     Low Tide     Low Tide       Sunrise   Sunset
1:51a  +2.5  12:07p  +1.3   8:23a  +1.0   6:49p  -0.5    7:06a   6:02p

North Pacific has a solid NW fetch (might have been even stronger yesterday), a small WNW one and a strong windswell one.

Nice size and position S fetch down south, but lacking intensity.

Morning sky.
