Lots of foiling these days, this is the beautiful, ever smiling Darren.
Keahi de Aboitiz was involved in a mid day Cabrinha photoshoot. Their latest wing looks interesting (particularly the handles), I might have to try it too.
MFC had a photoshoot at sunset instead. Celebrity party wave with (from left): Ian Gentil, Ian Walsh, Kai and Ridge Lenny.
The only one with straps, Kai was literally doing circles around them.
Little rail grab.
Natural flash light.
4am significant buoy readings and discussion.

How's this sentence from Pat Caldwell? The NOAA southern buoys 7/1 are noticing some rustling in the bushes for this new event in the 17-21 second wave period band, but the deer is not yet in the headlights. From the energy already detected, odds are high that southerly exposures will be near to a notch above average on Thursday. Got to love him...
Well the deer is well in the headlight this morning, as shown by the buoy readings and by the Lahaina webcam (check it if interested, for size, conditions and consistency). Solid head high sets are occasionally hitting the harbor.

ENE windswell went up a notch as a result of a decent upstream fetch you might have noticed in the fetch maps the last couple of days. I still call for small waves at Hookipa, bigger on eastern exposures, but they might be bigger it's been.
Wind map at noon (the other ones can be found at link n.-2 of GP's meteo websites list in the right column).
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: apparent direct aim, but out of the great circle ray map, so not 100% sure).
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
