Monday 7 11 22 morning call

Kanaha yesterday.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Lanai

  • 1.6ft
    , 13s, S 175º
  • 1ft
    , 17s, S 190º

Barbers

  • 1.6ft
    , 14s, S 180º

New long period south swell shows 1ft 17s at Lanai but nothing at Barbers. Below is the collage of the maps of June 5 through 7 that show the fetch that generated this first pulse of energy. It's going to get bigger mid week and then much bigger during next weekend. Surfline is calling for a exceptional 4.6ft 19s on Sunday morning. This is going to be a real big one, as the fetch was acting upon existing seas and had plenty of direct aim for several days.

Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Mokapu

  • 6.6ft
    , 6s, E 90º

Windswell only, home guess for Hookipa is waist to belly high, bigger on eastern exposures.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
