Hookipa yesterday.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 1.3ft, 11s, SW 215º
Lanai
- 1.2ft, 12s, SSW 200º
- 0.9ft, 9s, S 170º
- 0.3ft, 20s, SSW 205º
Very low energy at the buoys for today. Lanai is sensitive enough to register 0.3ft 20s (direction not reliable though) of the fairly large swell that will start to hit tomorrow.
Below are the maps of June 16 through 21 that show the fetch that generated it. Started straight south and moved east just a bit. Surfline is calling for 3ft 16s tomorrow afternoon.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Hanalei
- 6.1ft, 8s, NE 55º
Mokapu
- 4.6ft, 8s, ENE 65º
- 4.4ft, 5s, ENE 75º
