6am significant buoy readings
South shore
Lanai
1.7ft @ 13s from 251° (WSW)
Not sure what to do with the direction at the Lanai buoy, nothing at all at all the other buoys, the Tasman Swell in the water really is only a smidgen as uncle Pat called it. Ala Moana looks pretty grim, that is a 13s set. Maui's south shore probably in the knee high range.
North shore
NW101
3.4ft @ 11s from 320° (NW)
Hanalei
2.9ft @ 11s from 308° (WNW)
Waimea
2.8ft @ 12s from 308° (WNW)
Pauwela
3.7ft @ 8s from 71° (ENE)
2.8ft @ 12s from 316° (NW)
I did a beach report already before this late call (scroll down), and Hookipa has head high sets. Should stay steady throughout the day.
Wind map at noon.
The vicinity of that NW fetch will keep the short to medium period energy rolling.
South Pacific only offers a SE fetch, the kind that the Big Island loves to block.
Morning sky.
