Monday 11 2 20 morning call

 This is Hookipa yesterday morning.

3am significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at the buoys, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency, there shouldn't be much.

North shore
NW101
6.2ft @ 12s from 336° (NNW)

Hanalei

6.2ft @ 13s from 321° (NW)
3.7ft @ 9s from 2° (N)

Waimea
4.4ft @ 13s from 319° (NW)
3.6ft @ 8s from 354° (N)

Later than the Surfline prediction, the NW swell did pick up nicely at the buoys. It's already down to 13s but assuming we have at least 4ft locally, that should make for well overhead waves at Hookipa. Bit too west for the west side, but there might be some sets over there too. Below are the graphs of the three reported buoys, the swell should stay pretty solid throughout the day.
