This is the video I made of the Maui to Molokai crossing that happened yesterday. Results are here.
6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 2.6ft, 11s, SSE 165º
Lanai
- 2.1ft, 11s, SSE 160º
- 0.9ft, 13s, S 170º
Very little southerly energy left over at the buoys.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Mokapu
- 2.8ft, 7s, ENE 75º
- 2.3ft, 5s, ENE 70º
Only small easterly windswell on the north shore also today. Home guess for Hookipa is knee to waist high.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
