Hookipa yesterday.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 2.5ft, 13s, S 190º
- 0.8ft, 17s, S 185º
Lanai
- 2ft, 13s, S 190º
Southerly energy of a couple of feet 13s continues at the buoys while today the additional small longer period (17s) is only at Barbers.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Mokapu
- 5.4ft, 7s, ENE 60º
Only easterly windswell on the north shore also today. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to occasionally chest high in the afternoon when the trades blow strongest. Awesome downwind conditions once again.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
