Sunday 4 11 20 morning call

Yesterday was another great day of surfing on the north shore. Size was a bit smaller, but conditions were pristine thanks to the light kona wind. Things changed for the worse around 3pm when the wind went sideon trades. That marked the end of a series of excellent days of surfing, thanks to the lack of wind. The video below is from Friday.

Lovely numbers at the buoy, the south shore can definitely be an alternative today, seen the sideon wind on the north shore.

11s going down, 9s coming up. There will still be waves at Hookipa (head high at least I guess), but poor conditions because of light NE winds. Unless you catch it now under the rain.

North Pacific fetches map (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner):
WNW fetch is pretty solid (8.5ft 15s from 309 predicted by Surfline on Thursday). The nearby low is now aiming to our east, but we should still get some angular spreading.


South Pacific fetches map (about 7 days travel time from east of New Zealand):
nice fetch in the Tasman Sea, but the strongest part is blocked by New Zealand.
