Saturday 4 9 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning. I think I owned that Tom Parrish board a few years ago.

Hookipa yesterday afternoon. Photo by Jimmie Hepp from this album.

Hookipa late afternoon.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

1.1ft at 14s SSE 160º
0.7ft at 17s S 180º

Small 17s energy from the fetches I posted yesterday shows at Barbers. Below is the Surfline forecast for the next couple of days that shows a peak mid Sunday at around 2.5ft 16s. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Pauwela

7.2ft @ 9s from 47° (NE)
2.5ft @ 11s from 335° (NNW)

NW energy disappeared from all the buoys other than Pauwela, sign that it will pretty much disappear locally throughout the day. The NE windswell is still high though, home guess for Hookipa is for head high and peaky. Eastern exposures will have waves too.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon
. The other ones can be found here.
