Thursday 4 28 22 morning call

Kanaha yesterday.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

1.6ft at 11s S 185º
1.5ft at 14s S 180º
0.4ft at 18s SW 220º

The 11s reading is the leftover of the south swell we had for quite a few days now. The 14s is from an unidentified southerly source (that yesterday was at 17s) and the 18s from 220 is from the Tasman Sea fetch I posted yesterday. What size waves are all those small energies going to produce locally? Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Mokapu

3.7ft @ 6s from 72° (ENE)
3.3ft @ 9s from 74° (ENE)

No NW energy at any of the buoys. Bit surprising as on the 24th there was this distant but decent fetch below.

Home guess for Hookipa based on Mokapu's readings is for knee to belly high.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
