Sunday 6 12 22 morning call

No photos from yesterday. Front shot goes to Erin Brooks that just won the girls under 16 category at the ISA junior world championship in El Salvador.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

1ft at 13s SSE 160º
0.4ft at 11s S 175º
0.3ft at 18s SW 225º

Small southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
2.1ft @ 13s from 290° (WNW)

Hanalei
0.7ft @ 15s from 299° (WNW)

Waimea
0.5ft @ 15s from 307° (WNW)

Mokapu
6.4ft @ 6s from 86° (E)

Small WNW energy is picking up at the upstream buoys. Seeing the direction, I don't expect much from it locally. Easterly windswell is on the rise, but that too won't make for much on the north shore as it comes from almost straight east. Home guess for Hookipa is flat to waist high. Bigger on eastern exposures.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
