Thursday 6 30 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday.

Posted on June 28, this wonderful performance of Lily Meola on the AGT show already got 2.5 million views on Youtube. I got very emotional since she, her brother Matt and their mom Nancy were my next door neighbors a while ago, but even if you never met her, I wish you good luck at not crying when watching it.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
3ft at 15s S 185º

Long lasting south swell on its way down, but still providing nice waves. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore

Mokapu

  • 6ft
    , 7s, ENE 65º

This seems to be the new buoy page on Surfline. I don't like as much as the previous one, but at least they still have one.
The windswell at Mokapu is up to 6ft 7s, home guess for Hookipa is for waist to chest high.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
