10 17 15 morning call

Fun surfing on the south shore yesterday and with the wind already blowing 15mph at 5am on the north shore, that's where you guys will find me also today.

Buoys 5am
Pauwela
6.4ft @ 12s from 341° (NNW)
3ft @ 6s from 58° (ENE)
1.6ft @ 9s from 338° (NNW)

Barbers
2.9ft @ 18s from 193° (SSW)
2.9ft @ 13s from 254° (WSW)
2.2ft @ 10s from 308° (WNW)
1.4ft @ 11s from 313° (NW)

Both buoys went up as predicted.

6.5f 12s and 3f 18s might generate waves that could occasionally end up being of similar size (depending on the spot), but no question that the southerly ones will be cleaner.
The local wind will make the difference.

Windguru wind prediction.

Nice couple of fetches on the wind map. Amazing consistency of energy from the south. We're gonna get some angular spreading from that one too.

I'm having trouble uploading photo reports, but (as you see below), I'm still posting text reports and I'll try to do the same later from the south shore. Early high tide will make the search a bit trickier.
