Friday 3 11 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.

I'm refreshing the quiver and selling the board that accompanied me in many wing downwinders. Here's the craigslist post.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers N/A

Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
6.6ft @ 15s from 310° (WNW)

Hanalei
5.3ft @ 15s from 308° (WNW)

Waimea

2.3ft @ 8s from 39° (NE)
2ft @ 16s from 316° (NW)
1ft @ 6s from 40° (NE)
0.8ft @ 11s from 343° (NNW)

Pauwela

3.8ft @ 9s from 82° (E)
2.6ft @ 6s from 78° (ENE)
1.2ft @ 16s from 317° (NW)

New NW swell on the rise all day. Below are the maps of Mar 6 though 11, showing the fetch that generated it.

Below are the graphs of NW101 and Pauwela, together with the Surfline forecast, which predicts around 4ft 15s at sunset. The start of the day will be relatively small (specially down the coast towards Kahului), home guess for Hookipa is around belly high in absence of NW sets and up to head high or more when those arrive.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
