Tuesday 3 1 22 morning call

Three years after the stunning demonstration of foiling skills in the video below, Kane de Wilde might have put some muscle meat on, but he remains an incredibly efficient foiler. Yesterday at Kaa.

This is the video I'm referring to.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
1.2ft @ 16s from 175° (S)

Small long period southerly energy at Barbers. Below are the maps of Feb 22 through 24 showing the fetch that generated it.

Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
5ft @ 12s from 321° (NW)

Hanalei
6.5ft @ 12s from 318° (NW

Waimea
4.9ft @ 13s from 320° (NW)

Pauwela

5.4ft @ 13s from 319° (NW)
3.5ft @ 9s from 13° (NNE)

After five days the now NW swell (it started WNW) still shows some decent numbers in the 12-13s period at the buoys. Home guess for Hookipa is head to head and a half and clean.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon
. The other ones can be found here.
