9 11 15 morning call

Ops, yesterday I picked the wrong banner for the new sponsor Surferslist.com. The new one is up now.

Tiny waves on both north and south shores. That is going to be the case for the next two weeks (!) for the north shore. Fortunately the south shore will go up again Sunday/Monday and stay up all week.

Buoys
Pauwela
4.4ft @ 7s from 60° (ENE)
2.1ft @ 5s from 78° (ENE)
0.5ft @ 18s from 57° (ENE)

Barbers
2.2ft @ 6s from 184° (S)
1.6ft @ 13s from 180° (S)
1.4ft @ 9s from 194° (SSW)

That 1.6ft @ 13s from 180° (S) is your best bet today. The alternative is to do your chores in these couple of days and rest your paddling muscles before the action starts again.

Wind map shows no fetches in the north pacific and another nice fetch down south. Remember, a fetch in that position, will generate waves that will take roughly 7 days to get here.

The trades are coming back. With a ESE direction to start with, but then turning to a more common ENE direction. The return of the trades and the lack of waves on the north shore are extremely correlated. At least, it won't be as hot as it's been.

Hang in there! We had an AMAZING start of September, there was no way it would continue that way the whole month. We were blessed.
