Monday 11 29 21 morning call

Kai Lenny at Hookipa yesterday morning.

Kai Penny was in the water too, clearly looking for the shot. Such a poser!

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
5ft @ 13s from 343° (NNW)

Hanalei
6ft @ 14s from 327° (NW)

Waimea
6.4ft @ 14s from 322° (NW)

Kaneohe Bay
5.9ft @ 8s from 49° (NE)

Stormy day. The afternoon will have the strongest winds, but already in the morning the ocean will look extremely rough, as a mini low approaches and passes by us moving west (see satellite photo at the end) and significant size (6ft 8s at Kaneohe Bay buoy) NE windswell will add on top of the new long period NW swell that is around 6ft 14s. Kahului harbor might be the only relatively clean option on the north shore.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
