Sunday 11 14 21 morning call

Hookipa at sunset was excellent.

A few waves from my morning session. Board is an 8.6 Jimmy Lewis HP.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
8.8ft @ 10s from 337° (NNW)

Hanalei

3.8ft @ 11s from 325° (NW)
3.5ft @ 9s from 345° (NNW)
3.2ft @ 13s from 321° (NW)

Waimea

3.5ft @ 13s from 324° (NW)
2.8ft @ 11s from 329° (NW)

Mixed periods NW energies at the upstream buoys indicate overlapping pulses coming from different regions of the fetch. Below is the graph of the NW buoy that shows a sharp rise in the 10s band. Based on GP's rule of thumb to calculate the travel time from there (16h @16s +/-1h -/+1s), I drew red a red dotted line to indicate the timing of the local rise (in the afternoon).

Home guess for Hookipa is a bit challenging, I'd say head to head and a half with inconsistent size sets. Clean conditions again, thanks to the lack of wind.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
