Tuesday 11 16 21 morning call

I was inexplicably alone for most of my session yesterday morning.

Hookipa mid day.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers

1.7ft @ 13s from 183° (S)
0.7ft @ 18s from 181° (S)

We saw the small long period energy starting yesterday, the surprise today is that 1.7s 13s. Lahaina town might see some of the north wrap also. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
8.9ft @ 10s from 21° (NNE)

N
7.8ft @ 10s from 341° (NNW)

Hanalei
8.1ft @ 11s from 10° (N)

Waimea

6.6ft @ 11s from 6° (N)
3.9ft @ 10s from 352° (N)

Long lasting short period energy is still at the buoys, now coming from a more northerly to NNE direction. The rights at Hookipa love that direction, my guess is head and a half with possible bigger sets and kinda soft, clean and peaky. Possibly excellent.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
