Monday 5 23 22 morning call

No photos from yesterday. This is Kai Paula a couple of days ago in a photo by OneMoreFoto.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

2.6ft at 14s SSW 195º
0.3ft at 20s SSW 200º

Nice amount of 14s energy at Barbers, with a touch of new 20s on top. Below is the map of May 16 showing a one day decent fetch. Because of the short duration of it, Surfline only shows 1ft 17s tomorrow for it.

Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Mokapu
5ft @ 6s from 86° (E)

Short period easterly windswell only in the water. Hookipa is going to be virtually flat.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.

Fetches map
(circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.

North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):

South Pacific
(about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
