Monday 5 30 22 morning call

The NW bumps didn't really arrive, this is as big as the waves got yesterday at Hookipa.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

2.4ft at 14s SSW 195º
0.3ft at 22s SSW 195º

South swell down to 2.4ft 14s at Barbers. That smidget of 22s is the forerunning energy of the next big swell that Surfline predicts to reach a remarkable 4.8ft 18s tomorrow.

Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
2.7ft @ 10s from 299° (WNW)

Hanalei
2.4ft @ 11s from 311° (NW)

Waimea
1.5ft @ 11s from 321° (NW)

Mokapu

2.8ft @ 5s from 92° (E)
2.7ft @ 7s from 95° (E)

Very small NW energy seems to be less westerly at the close by upstream buoys. That gives Hookipa more chances to receive it, so I'm going to still call for waist to belly high.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
