Tuesday 5 10 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday afternoon.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest nor to maximize the youtube visualizations, instead I'd rather share as much info as possible to the Foil Drive actual and potential users out there. Here's a rather long (13 minutes) video illustrating my first Foil Drive Plus assisted SUP foiling downwinder using the SMALL battery.

For whom it may concern: paddle out in memory of brother Randy Sunday 7am at Kanaha.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
1.3ft at 13s S 175ยบ

Small southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina and Kihei webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW101
2.8ft @ 12s from 312° (NW)

Hanalei
1.9ft @ 12s from 310° (WNW)

Waimea

1.3ft @ 13s from 317° (NW)
0.4ft @ 16s from 7° (N)

Mokapu

5.1ft @ 8s from 79° (ENE)
4.9ft @ 7s from 71° (ENE)

Small NW energy at the upstream buoys. Below are the maps of May 5 through 9. The red arrow on the first map indicates the possible source of the tiny N energy at Waimea, while the black arrow indicates the source of the small NW energy at all the buoys. As you can see, it should provide some tiny to small energy for the rest of the week.

Home guess for Hookipa is for waist to shoulder high with occasional head high peaks when the windswell combines with the inconsistent NW lines.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
