Friday 5 7 21 morning call

No photos from yesterday. Robby Naish posted this cool shot of him riding a SUP board with the wing. The one time I tried that, it was immediately clear to me that a windsurf sail would have been a lot better to slog and to stay upwind, so I proceeded to install a couple of stick-on inserts on the deck in order to be able to attach a mast foot. I only had a chance to do one session with that setup on the waves before my hands demanded the period of total rest that it's still ongoing.

I can confirm that the slogging part was a lot better than with the wing. On the wave, I couldn't ride as freely as Robby in this shot, but overall it felt like a better option. Slogging with the wing was  inefficient and unpleasent, the wing makes sense if you're foiling (or if the wind is strong and you can plane on a much smaller board than a SUP). That's my feedback, at least.
