Saturday 10 15 22 morning call

Beautiful conditions yesterday at Hookipa in the morning.

Much bigger and a lot less clean at sunset.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore

Barbers

  • 1.4ft
    , 14s, SSW 205º

Small southerly energy at the buoys, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW001

  • 6.5ft
    , 10s, N 10º

Hanalei

  • 7.6ft
    , 12s, N 355º

Waimea

  • 6.6ft

Pauwela

  • 7.3ft
    , 11s, NNW 345º
  • 2.6ft
    , 6s, N 350º

NNW energy is still up at Pauwela and it's predicted to come down and turn more north throughout the day. Also today the onshore flow in the afternoon will degrade the conditions. Home guess for Hookipa in the morning is for head and a half to double and a bit stormy.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
